From May 25 to 29 there is another reason to come to Florence: the second edition of the Ice Cream Festival..

The whole city will celebrate this very typical Italian product, invented for the Medici court in Florence.

The event will have 2 major sites 1. Artisan’s Village, set up in Piazza Pitti. Here you can see the ice cream makers creating different ice cream tastes and you’ll have the possibility of tasting gelato in the many stands 2.The Industrial Village, set up in Piazza della Repubblica. Here there will be Sammontana that will let us discover the secrets of the only true Italian ice cream industry.

And to get from one place to the other the beautiful stroll on the Ponte Vecchio!

The booths will be open daily from 12,00 to 24,00, so that all gourmets can enjoy the best of the Fetsival in all its forms: tasting as well as workshops for children and adults, musical events and many happy hours done with ice cream.

Finally do not forget that many ice cream shops scattered through the city participate the event, allowing those who possess the Festival CARD to try their daily specials.
